Joint Pain Relief

Joint injection services to alleviate pain and improve mobility for a better quality of life

Joint pain is a common condition that can significantly impact your quality of life.

Understanding Joint Pain

Joint pain can range from mild discomfort to severe, debilitating pain. It may be accompanied by stiffness, swelling, and reduced range of motion. Common causes of joint pain include:

  • Osteoarthritis (wear and tear of joints)

  • Rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune condition)

  • Bursitis (inflammation of fluid-filled sacs around joints)

  • Injuries such as sprains and strains

Joint pain typically occurs due to inflammation, damage to the joint tissues, or wear and tear over time. As we age, our joints naturally experience more stress, leading to increased likelihood of pain and stiffness.

It's important to note that while joint injections are effective for many patients, they may not work in all cases. Studies have shown that the success rate for improvement in symptoms can range from 70% to 80%, depending on the joint treated. If joint injections do not provide adequate relief, further investigation or alternative treatments may be necessary.

At our GP practice, we offer care for those suffering from joint pain, including joint injection services.
